Biden campaign calls Trump ‘Broke Don’ as DOJ, Dem DAs target top political rival

The Biden campaign has developed a nickname for Donald Trump, taking a page from the former president's playbook as the race to November's Presidential Election heats up. However, political strategists warned that it's not a smart move for the Biden campaign and every political opponent of Trump who has tried to mimic his strategy has failed.

The nickname that the Biden-Harris campaign came up for Trump is "Broke Don," which was used in a recent campaign email sent to supporters on Thursday.

"Not a Winning Campaign: Broke Don Hides in Basement," the email said. "Trump can't raise money, isn't campaigning, and is letting convicts and conspiracy theorists run his campaign."

The nickname was coined after the Democratic candidate's campaign revealed a significant financial advantage over both Trump and the Republican National Committee (RNC).

As per a report submitted to the Federal Election Commission on Wednesday, the Biden campaign had $71 million in cash at the end of February. When combined with the funds from the Democratic National Committee, the amount increases to $97.5 million, as reported by POLITICO.
