DHS Secretary Mayorkas Denies Claim of 400 Illegals Smuggled Through ISIS-Linked Network

Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas is in complete denial over reports that 400 illegals have been brought to the U.S. through an ISIS-linked smuggling network. 

NBC had reported earlier in the week that the DHS had “identified over 400 immigrants from Central Asia and elsewhere who crossed into the U.S. in the past three years as 'subjects of concern' because they were brought by an ISIS-affiliated human smuggling network.” Three DHS officials told NBC this. 

Instead of trying to spin this, Mayorkas has opted for outright denial. 

“That reporting is incorrect,” Mayorkas claimed to reporters.  “We have not identified 400 people with potential ISIS ties.” The DHS officials who spoke with NBC said that 150 of the 400 have been arrested, and there are 50 who still haven’t been arrested.
