Secretary of State Marco Rubio's flight to Munich forced to turn around after crack discovered in plane's windshield

Marco Rubio's plane had to turn back on its way to Munich after a crack was reportedly spotted in the windshield.

The Secretary of State was traveling to Germany to participate in the Munich Security Conference along with 60 other world leaders.

Social media took note of an odd route that the craft was taking that seemed to be going back in the direction from whence it came.

'This evening, en route from Washington to Munich, the plane on which Secretary Rubio is flying experienced a mechanical issue,' State Department spokesperson Tammy Bruce told DailyMail.com in a statement.
